The Alegría Women’s Chorus of San Antonio is supported by a skilled and dedicated volunteer staff who are crucial to our success. Our team includes experienced musicians, talented accompanists, and efficient administrative professionals. Together, they work to ensure smooth rehearsals and performances, foster our growth and promote our mission.

Amanda Jeffries-Hardy
Amanda Jeffries-Hardy is a choral director with 12 years in public schools and 2 years as a choral consultant. Known for her dedication and artistic innovation, she has won numerous awards for her work. In addition to being a wedding planner, she joins Trinity University this fall as an adjunct professor.

Wanetta Hill
After a 34 year teaching career, Wanetta redirected her life to spending quality time with her family, mentoring, UIL judging, vocal coaching, writing five fiction novels, and more. Alegría is family to her.

Jennifer Zaccagni
Jennifer has been a choral and collaborative musician in San Antonio for 39 years, including 17 years with the Children's Chorus of San Antonio. She maintains a private piano studio and active freelance career.

By day, Amanda promotes San Antonio as a top destination for meetings and tourism with Visit San Antonio. As a member of Alegría, she enjoys helping to share the choir's message.

Victoria Reyna Varville
Victoria is a content strategist at the University of the Incarnate Word. A lifelong fine arts advocate, she lends her skills to promoting Alegría and expanding its digital and community presence.

Print Coordinator
Christie Brown
Christie is currently the choir director at NEISD's Johnson High School. She lends her talents to Alegría's alto section, and volunteers her time to see to the choir's printing and program needs.

Laura Shook
Laura is a former teacher who now works in the educational assessment field. She hopes to broaden Alegría's presence and impact by connecting with partners who support the choir's mission.

Brittany Oliver
Brittany is a former private voice instructor and choir director who is currently wearing the hat of proud full-time parent. An alto in the choir, she is thrilled to be on Alegría's team in a larger capacity, serving as a member of the sponsorship and donor committee.

Kathy Mayer
Kathy Mayer is a tenured assistant professor of music at Northeast Lakeview College and the TMEA Region 12 secretary and college division chair. She has extensive experience accompanying, directing, and recording with middle and high school choirs and orchestras, and as a vocalist and instrumentalist. She devotes time to serving on Alegría's fundraising and grants team.
